The riddle of the Pineapple Arcade

Welcome to the Pineapple arcade! With a futuristic Steam-Punk style, know that you’re late! The treasure hunt has been going on for a while now!

But don’t worry, it’s not finished, you still have a chance! Are you interested to be part of it? If you’ve come to this point, it’s obviously for this reason. Don’t be afraid, make yourself comfortable, let me explain to you what you’ve missed but most of all, what still needs to be done!

The puzzles

The name is reminiscent of the Pineapple Fund, which distributed 5104 Bitcoin in 2017 to various non-profit projects. But this time, the team is no longer a generous anonymous donor and the word “Arcade” has replaced “Fund” to give rise to a series of puzzles if you want to hit the jackpot.

The treasure hunt was launched by the Blockade Games team (the creators of Neon District and Plasma Bears) almost two years ago and offers to win 15 ETH, 17.5 BTC, Neon District NFT and 100,000 RustBits (the currency of Age of Rust). All you have to do is solve puzzles and play arcade games that seem easy on the surface.

“Easy” as you can expect, the riddles will give you a hard time and you will have to use your imagination and your logic to find the clues you will find on your way. Some puzzles have already been solved but do not worry, there are still some treasures to be found.

Here are in chronological order the treasures that have already been found:

The 15 ETH prize, “The Function Core”

The puzzle has been waiting two years to be solved, yet from the beginning there has been assistance to help the community understand the direction to take.

On Steemit, @sblue published two years ago the beginning of a good lead. It was not until 2019 that Cybergeoisie decided to give a little more clue. Even if, according to him, almost give the solution.

It is finally “mk” who found the solution, finding the private key of an Ethereum wallet containing not 15 ETH, but 30!

The 10 BTC prize, “Pine’s Grand Puzzle”

The location of the clues was “DAO Invaders & Computer Terminal” but we couldn’t find any more information on how to solve the puzzle.

The puzzle was launched on March 14, 2018 and was solved on September 13, 2019.

• Details: Decipher the encoded message

Hint: “We updated the circuit image and removed a red herring from it. Because of a mistake, we also had to update something else in the same image. It’s not as obvious as the removed herring, so please make sure to take a closer look.“

More riddles and more enigmas

After two years of riddles, clues, intrigue… the treasure hunt is coming to an end. With two quests left, you might be disappointed by how few rewards there are left to take. But given the general level of difficulty of the project, it is much more than a few Ethereum that you will get by solving these problems.

Indeed, take another look at the Core Project solution. If it hasn’t been found in all this time, it’s clearly not within anyone’s reach… To motivate you to solve the resonant puzzles, start with the premise that maybe it’s time for you to learn new skills! Because it will be extremely complicated to stay on track to finish the puzzles proposed by Blockade Arcade.

So don’t give up, don’t hesitate to share your progress with the Discord community but don’t give all your clues either, it would be a shame if someone got ahead of you by using your clues!
