Nifty Gateway art marketplace is organizing its third drop today! For the occasion, the Griffin and Duncan Cock Foster twins called on renowned artists, whose works are already exhibited in several galleries around the world.
Cey Adams, Raul Cordero and Coldie… these names may already mean something to you?
If it is not the case, we invite you to discover their universe and artworks below, and of course to join the 3rd round on Nifty Gateway from today, April 16th 2020 at 7PM EST.
Each artist listed above provided an exclusive artwork for the sale, with a very limited number of copies.
The event organized by Nifty Gateway represents, in our view, a major step forward towards the democratization of NFTs and mass-adoption via fiat payment.
We invite you to discover below the works that will be sold on the occasion of the 3rd drop, and for those who do not yet know them to learn more about are the artists behind the works.
Internationally known for his large format blurry paintings and LED light text installations in public spaces, Raúl Cordero has successfully merged highly skilled painting and text-based conceptual art throughout his career.
His work can be seen in public collections and museums around the world, including the Musée National D’Art Moderne Centre Pompidou in Paris, France; Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles (MOCA), among many others.
Cey Adams, a New York City native, appeared in the historic 1982 PBS documentary, Style Wars, which tracks subway graffiti in New York. Adams served as Creative Director for Def Jam Recordings, where he created album covers, logos, and advertising campaigns for Run DMC, Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Notorious B.I.G., Maroon 5, and Jay-Z.
He exhibits, lectures, and teaches art workshops at institutions including: The Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, MoMA, Brooklyn Museum, Museum of the City of New York, ..
Coldie is an award-winning mixed media artist whose stereoscopic 3D art has been featured in national juried art exhibitions, cryptocurrency conferences, and live auctions. His blockchain themed artwork gives a personalized visual representation of the disruptive industry. Coldie is the first artist to tokenize stereoscopic 3D art and photography on the blockchain.
Let’s admire the tour de force which made it possible to bring internationally renowned artists into the NFT field. There is no doubt that this type of initiative will bring unprecedented visibility to the ecosystem.
The rise of Nifty Gateway, and the ability they have shown to involve high-level artists at NFT events confirms the trend we saw in our 2019 NFT Yearly Report: art is gradually becoming the growth driver of the non-fungible token industry.
